GCS Federal Credit Union presents the
5th Annual Little Princess Tomato & Sir Catsup Contest
American Legion Post 365 Collinsville, Illinois
Sunday, July 13, 2008 - 11:30 am



This is a fun contest. Judging will not be based on "professional" pageant rules. The Judges' decisions are final.
 
All contestants must be between the ages of 3- and 6-years-old on July 13, 2008, and live in Madison County or St. Clair County, Illinois.

Contest is scheduled for 11:30 am, Sunday, July 13, 2008. Contestants should arrive by 11:00 am.

There is a $20.00 entry fee that must be submitted with your entry form. Checks should be made out to WORLD'S LARGEST CATSUP BOTTLE FAN CLUB.
 
The deadline for entry is June 30, 2008. ALL contestants MUST be preregistered. Late entries cannot be accepted, and there will be NO registration on the day of the event.

Contestants cannot be a current reigning Little Princess, Sir, or similar titleholder.

Rehearsal will be held one week prior to the festival. Participation in the rehearsal is not required but is strongly recommended. This is not a dress rehearsal.

Contestants should appear in summer clothes (sundress, short set, sandals, etc.) and keep the thoughts of ketchup, classic cars, summer fun, and the birthday party in mind. Contestants are prohibited from wearing makeup, wigs, or any such enhancements. Appropriate attire may be worn in the case of inclement weather.

Contestants will need to be able to state their name, age, answer a simple question or two, and recite a Catsup Bottle Fun Fact. Contestants will also be asked to perform some type of talent. Some examples include: a song, a dance, a yo-yo demonstration, a magic trick, etc.

Contestants will be interviewed and asked to perform on stage. Ten finalists will be chosen.
 
Awards:
   Little Princess Tomato and Little Sir Catsup will receive: a crown, a sash, a trophy, flowers, and a $100 savings bond.
   1st and 2nd Runners Up will receive: a trophy, flowers, and a $50 savings bond.
   The seven remaining finalists will receive: a contest participation medal.
   ALL contestants will receive: a goodie gift bag, and a bottle of ketchup.

his is intended as a fun contest. All contestants (and their parents) must be on their best behavior and everyone will have a great time!
 
The winning Little Princess Tomato and Little Sir Catsup should plan on participating in community events during their reign. Winners' parents should keep in touch with the Catsup Bottle organization for appearance opportunity information. Parents will be responsible for making their own appearance arrangements.
 
Suggested appearances are: Maryville Homecoming Parade, Italian Fest Parade, CHS Homecoming Parade, etc.
 
Requested appearances include: Pre-festival promotional activities, KSDK Channel 5 "Show Me St. Louis" window appearance, participating in next year's Catsup Tasting, and participating in next year's pageant.
